Pros

Amazing team, leadership, executive leadership and support. Wonderful on the job training opportunities, great professional development team and excellent inter-departmental collaboration. Leadership values hard work ethic, creativity, and employee engagement. Wonderful benefits (holidays, time off accrual, retirement, health plan). All of the staff I've been privileged to work with, from support staff to the Commissioners and their office staff are friendly, supportive and very approachable. The Executive Director and Executive Leadership communicate with with us regularly and truly care how we are doing. They also take proactive steps to boost morale and find ways to engage with employees on every level. I may have taken a significant pay cut coming from the private sector - but being at TWC is completely worth it. The benefits like health ins., retirement package, and leave, as well as the positive environment I'm now part of make the switch completely worth it.

Cons

TWC often provides great opportunities for employees, but they may not always be organized with enough time in advance, or promoted throughout the entire agency. Staff participation could be better for fun events (Holiday parties and gatherings).
