Only way to move ahead is to leave the company and come back or just be buddy buddy with senior leadership. Promotion is based on being their friends.

Pros

1.) The work is definitely unique being that only a few companies in the world produce hovercraft of this scale and capabilities. The science behind how they operate and fly is even cooler to learn. 2.) Because of the rarity of this craft the work and technical ability it takes to keep it running or to fix issues are quite challenging. 3.) The people are always ready to help out if you just ask for it. No one has ever turned me down if i needed help.

Cons

1.) There are just lines and lines of cubicles that are in one big windowless room. 2.) The work systems are definitely behind and make simple tasks become double the work for no reason.
