      Huge Potential, But Misses the Mark

      Pros

      This company at the Director level and below, is filled with people who work arduously to meet customer requirements and protect national security interests. The products are interesting, some of their technologies such as the OSRVT are highly innovative and exciting. A great place to learn how NOT to run a company.

      Cons

      This is the first company in which I have worked were the VP and above would not have ever made it at giants like General Dynamics, Boeing, Lockheed....etc. Unfortunately, they are chosen by whimsy by the toxic leadership environment in Providence. Enabled by the CEO, this toxicity is rampant in all Textron Systems companies, which is unfortunate, because there is a huge depth in what they could do... Compensation is way below industry standards. Technology to make these products is far below requirements. Sustainment is the only mantra here, NOT innovation - with the exception of OSRVT and Aerosonde.

      Pros

      Given a lot of responsibility and there are opportunities to move up or around the company if self motivated. A lot can be learned if driven to do teach yourself.

      Cons

      Not much loyalty to current employees. Focus is on whatever the current "corporate" goal is and little care is given to employees work/life balance or their work environment. Poor communication and lack of proper management usually results in productive individuals carrying excessive workloads while underperforming individuals skate by.

      Pros

      There are some very smart people there. However it make me think are they really smart if they are still working there. Pros is the job pays well. Thats it thats all !!!!

      Cons

      So many to list. Long hours with alot of BS. The company is so cheap that everything they get it breaks. They are very unorganized about everything. Management sucks and could care less on improving quality. if you are a true engineer do NOT come here this is a grave yard for engineers. Trust me this the best advice I can give you. I gave this company almost half decade and what i get in return is a high rehab bill and a alcohol addiction.
