Pros

The compensation is competitive and benefits are outstanding including the corporate perks regarding discounts on products and services from other companies. The work schedule is always flexible and the amount of vacation given, even to entry level hires, is exceptional. Many incredibly talented individuals, both technical and otherwise, and overall a great work environment regarding the kindness of almost all employees.

Cons

At times the company feels to be stuck in the past in the way it handles not only development of programs but also development of individuals. There does not seem to be a great desire for innovation but rather the focus is on re-utilization of old or existing capabilities. Bureaucracy is evident in almost every aspect of work and although this is the nature of government contracting there are certainly ways to lessen the burden on the employees and the programs they are supporting. Unfortunately a constantly changing organizational structure makes it seem as though the vision for the long term is at times foggy at best and the focus is very heavy on making a profit in the short run as opposed to positioning the company, and its employees, for growth and sustainability in the long run.

Pros

Flexibility, mobility, opportunities to grow, working at a small business unit with the feel of a start up, but benefits of a corporation

Cons

A bit corporate, so processes are sometimes inefficient (examples, contacting an HR manager takes time, and they are usually not very reliable), company feels more like multiple silos due to multiple business units, rather than a team

Pros

They have some intelligent and innovative engineers.

Cons

Management is poor at best. Environment is called "Toxic" by many of the senior engineering staff. Management protects itself with customers by firing someone every time the customer is unhappy with progress. "See we got rid of the problem." versus taking ownership and actually building a team environment. Stay away from this company. Safe if you are junior and right out of school.
