Unpaid overtime was unofficially required or you risked not getting any sort of raise at year-end. Even when you did work overtime it was "never enough", and pay across the board was less than the industry standard. Sick time and vacation were also kept separate (2 weeks sick, 2 weeks vacation) which essentially meant most people only got 2 weeks off a year because it was hard to legitimately use sick time.

The only major complaint is that the work isn't very engaging. Much of my day to day was taken up with various administrative duties such as writing engineering change notices or researching new components to integrate into the current design framework. It wasn't hard but it was fairly boring. It's also not good if you're looking to broaden your skills as an engineer. At least my project was that way.
