Pros

A lot of the employees have been there for decades, so some people clearly enjoy it. The pay and benefits are competitive, though confusing. The HR department is great at sorting out the aforementioned confusion. The food in the cafeteria is not bad, and many people eat lunch together there, instead of alone at their desks, which is a plus. They have a (mediocre) gym on site. The company meetings are (relative to other companies) informative and honest, and the local management (of Textron Systems, not Textron corporate) are friendly. Hours are reasonable--some people work long hours, others don't.

Cons

These were Cons for me, but some people obviously enjoy it. You make cluster bombs for a living. There is not much teamwork involved, you're mostly working in your cube by yourself. If you email someone senior to you outside your group, though, they may not even acknowledge the email. Because you work on government projects, you need to log what you are working on in 6-minute increments. Negative attitudes, shouting, and swearing are more common than at anywhere else I have worked. Bottom line: It's a large government contractor that makes weapons. Some like it, some don't.

Pros

Good opportunities to deploy and make some good money. Bonuses come after a year and every 6 months after that (for deployed employees).

Cons

Started taking money away (per diem), benefits that set them apart from the others, getting very picky about everything. Started asking more of employees with nothing in return.
