Unless you are straight out of college, expect to stay in whatever role you end up in. Also, if you are not a recent college grad, being hired outside the company is unlikely.

Hello, thank you for your review! Great to read your favorable comments towards leadership and benefits. Textron Systems has a promote from within strategy, so it is typical for mid and senior level roles to be filled internally, while going on University campuses and other events to fill vacancies at lower levels. We use this strategy to give our current employees opportunities to move to new positions, though there are circumstances that cause us to look externally as well for all levels across our various locations. For any employees looking for new positions within the company, I would encourage them to reach out to their HRBP and manager, as well as search our internal job finder for current openings they may be interested in.
