Pros

Good first step into the world of NGOs. The interview was easy and the work load it very doable.

Cons

The weekly phone meetings were often pointless. It can be difficult to fundraise.

Pros

I really enjoyed my time with the organization. You are doing work you can feel good about and gaining great experience. Since the ending of my internship I have gone on to find others and at each interview potential employers have been impressed with the work I did at th Borgen Project. Work hard here and it will continue to serve you well!

Cons

It is unpaid. But it is not a huge time commitment, and my experience at The Borgen Project helped me go on to get other internships that pay very well.
