      Broad Great, Facilities not so much.

      Pros

      Great employee benefits and retirement contributions. This along with a good corporate community culture makes the Broad a great place.

      Cons

      Specific to the facilities department, it has become unbearable to work in the current environment. There has been multiple long time employees that have chosen to leave.

      Pros

      The benefits here are definitely great! Good health insurance plan, minor transit benefits, 401(k) with employer contributions, and optional life insurance policy. PTO is decent, with 2 weeks for first year, 3 weeks after first year. Minimal relocation assistance (not enough to move cross-country) if you stay for the first year.

      Cons

      Experience varies widely depending on your lab. No COLA, and widespread anti-union sentiment among administration, which is laughable given the whole Eric Lander situation. There are wide discrepancies in pay within job titles and responsibilities, and no standard for job promotions that is actually enforced. Many people are overworked and underpaid for the responsibilities they have in the entry level roles. You'd be better off in industry if you want research experience, honestly.
