Pros

If push comes to shove, you can usually get off early for a doctor's appointment or to pick up your kid. Its a paycheck.

Cons

Little to no respect from upper management. No matter how hard you work or how much the customers love you, the only recognition from upper management is negative - On that note, they have no problem throwing you under the bus if they themselves coming under fire. The management style is fear tactics - potential job loss is constantly used for "motivation." The customers we sell to are grossly overcharged for their products (they can find the same products cheaper with middle-men than direct from our warehouses!). Coke's gross profit markup is at least 200%, but they expect customers to retail with just a 20% (at best) markup. If a customer refuses, Coke pulls their already overpriced pricing. If the big wigs come to town, expect to work extra hours (beyond the expected 7-5 shift) for several weeks prior. The day before major holidays, expect to be required to stock shelves at a grocery store after your shift (being salaried, they don't have to pay you anything extra - if they sent the actual Coke stockers to do it, they'd have to pay the stockers their hourly wage) ***Honestly, I could go on and on, but I'll leave you with just these Cliffnotes. Hopefully this is enough.***

Pros

Great employees dedicated to a great brand. Lots of career employees with outstanding knowledge to share.

Cons

Frequent reorgs, low salaries, less opportunity now, overlee focused on diversity and "new" talent. Experience being weeded out in favor of diverse canidates. Posted positions are often just posted to meet guidelines and the process is followed but the hiring manager has already made a selection. Many senior positions were apointed in the last reorg to people with no experience in their channel of business.
