Pros

Every day has it's set of challenges since there are so many moving parts in the role of an Expense Control Specialist, there is always something to work on which I love and appreciate. The continuous feedback is beneficial for growth, I am always learning something new. The accounting team has been very welcoming and always open to answer any questions I may have. The company also gives back to the kids and community which also contributes to the drive of wanting to do my best and work harder. It is also great to work with others that share the same belief when it comes to work as stated in the Connor Group's core values. They treat their employees well and it shows with the benefits and rewards and recognition program. A huge plus is that Central Office is dog friendly as well!

Cons

Difficult to get hired on which is understandable, recruiting and hiring is expensive, and they want to make sure they make the right decision and hire the best person suited for the role. However, I suggest those interested to stay persistent hence "Relentless Pursuit of Excellence" is part of the core values. According to others, long work hours if you want to succeed and stay ahead, it is not for everyone, however with my prior experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry, these hours are not even comparable! I have more of a work-life balance than I ever had in the 21+ years of working.
