Pros

I got excited when I got a call from the recruiter, but they were interested in me working on mostly temporary assignment.

Cons

They are so judgemental in grilling you and your resume, and they are not really interested in helping you, but helping themselves.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Being in between jobs is a difficult and emotional time for many people. Temporary work can be a great way to keep busy, meet new people, learn skills and enter new markets. Our goal for all of our candidates is permanent employment and temporary employment can be a great way to achieve that goal. We apologize if you felt that our recommendations on your resume were judgmental and for our benefit and not yours. A resume can be a first OR last impression and it is our hope that at the very least we can help people fine tune their resumes to make a great first impression. We will continue to support those candidates in between jobs and will make sure to focus more attention on their permanent search. Thanks again for your feedback!

Problems with communication

Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly

Unfortunately, I realized that while they were all very nice, they were blowing smoke the whole time. I know that the job market isn't great, and I appreciated the opportunity they got me, the situation was handled extremely unprofessionally. I got a temp-to-hire job where I was promised over and over again that I would definitely get the permanent position. I had appendicitis and had to have emergency surgery to remove it. I notified the agency and my direct employer. The agency kept in contact and asked me when I could return. I said two days after the surgery. They called back the night before I was supposed to go back and said to wait until Monday. On Friday, they called and said maybe the week after that but they would keep in touch. That was the last I heard from them.

We are so sorry that you had this experience. It is always very unfortunate when temporary to hire positions do not work out. Unfortunately it does happen and often it is out of our control. However, keeping in touch is something that is in our control and our sincere apologies that we lost touch with you. Communication is something that we are constantly working on improving. We have made many changes over the past couple of months to help ensure that these things do not slip through the cracks. Pros

The Ford Agency is undoubtedly a tight knit team of hard workers. When you join the company, you truly feel like you're a valuable member of them team. They are patient and stellar at what they do. I learned much more than I initially thought I would while working for them, and couldn't be happier that my first job right out of college was with Ford. As I ventured into the next phase of my career, they were incredibly supportive and helpful. They actually placed me (who better to get me hired, then The Ford Agency, right?)! Amazing company, bright future ahead!

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind off the top of my head. If you're looking for a large office, this won't be for you. Good first job!
