Pros

Great environment ,love the patients. Willingness to work with your schedule.

Cons

Pay is low. Management is not working together. Too many people play the authoritative role when not in their scope of practice. A lot of favouritism . We shouldnt have to use our pto for sickness etc. Especially for holiday pay. Holiday pay is the reason a lot of people work and miss time with their families we should be compensated like amy other job and not pay ourselves out of our pto!

It's easy to develop a close relationship with the staff on your unit. Close to home Most patients are thankful for nurses and RPH care

Cons

High patient acuity High patient turn over High patient to nurse ratio Holiday pay comes out of PTO Floating very frequently Upper management hears concern but nothing happens Most days off you get a phone call to see if you will work
