Pros

health insurance, good environment to work as a nurse (new facility)

Cons

on-call sometimes, even though you want to have more schedule, they don't give you schedule because of overtime pay.

Pros

The pay is quite well for the area as well as numerous opportunities for progression through the company. Everyone in my department is very talented, ambitious, and amazing to work with. The company has visions of what they would like to do to continue to provide quality care and remain competitive which provides a strong outlook for the future of the company. Sayre is within an hour of four larger towns (Ithaca, Binghamton, Corning, Elmira) which provides more entertainment and recreational activities. The health coverage is also extremely generous compared to other systems.

Cons

Having to use PTO for standard holidays is something that could be improved. Additionally I really wish Guthrie would invest in building out the town and making it a more inviting place for people to live as opposed to trying to use Ithaca & Corning as a place for employees to live which then requires them to drive 45 mins+ and shuttle in to work due to lack of parking.

Pros

I like some of my coworkers.

Cons

Management is horrible. They are constantly adding more and more steps to an already hard job. Things are all ways changing and not for the better. With no bonus, extra pay or even a pat on the back. Executives who never have been in the trenches make all the discussions without even have done the job. Guthrie has gone down hill so fast. Employees are leaving left and rigght. It's so bad even travel nurses quit. They treat there employees like cattle. They never listen or try to help. They say if you don't like it leave.
