Pros

I could go on for days about all of the things I love about TIG, but I'll spare us all and keep it to some bullets. Unmatched Culture: - This is such a fun and motivating environment to work in and I actually look forward to coming into the office. My coworkers are some of the best friends I've found in life and that is just the type of people we hire to work here. Motivated, kind, encouraging, funny and hard working people. We also do a lot of team building and giving back to our communities together Opportunity for growth is amazing - Promotions are expected of you here, not something you have to beg for. Your managers will work with you closely to be sure you have all of the support and guidance to get to whatever goals you have. - They like to promote from within for management and senior level Recruiting and Account Management roles - The commission structure has tiers so you can take home more money on your deals the more people you place, and it is uncapped. I know if people who have been here for just a few years who are making insane amounts of commission. - Benefits are great, PTO policy is really nice. You will learn a good amount of PTO flexibility when you promote and are up to par with ramping expectations. - The executive leadership team and our CEO are unlike anything I've experienced at another company and I have worked in my fair share of corporate jobs. They are hands on, they are right there in the weeds with us, helping, leading, adjusting where needed and they actually give a sh*t about the people who work for their company. - Our managers are some of my favorite people. They are great leaders who will push you to be better and make you laugh at the same time. - Joe Myers, our CEO literally knows everyone by name, can tell you all about their life, where they came from etc. because he spends the time to get to know the people who are working with him. Key word WITH and not FOR. He refuses to say people work "for" him because he truly sees this company as a team with no 1 person being more important than another. - You will work really hard here. You will be pushed to be your best. You will be expected to take constructive criticism and implement changes that will help further your career. You will grow as a professional here, but if you're someone who does not want to be challenged, this isn't the place for you! This was long winded, not surprising for me, but believe me, this is the shortened version.

Cons

This is not a con necessarily, but I'll take this space to say that the staffing industry isn't for everyone and I think that's where some of these more negative comments come from. It is meant for hard working, driven, a little bit competitive, team oriented people with grit to get through the initial learning phase because it is definitely tough at first, but if you push through your first 8 months to a year, you'll be soarin and flyin like Troy Bolton.

Hard work, minimal reward

Pros

At The Intersect Group, I was fortunate enough to make some AMAZING friends. I was also able to speak with great candidates whom I truly cared about. There were goals set out, and if you needed help location managers were always willing to help. Note: "goals" were also the expectation and there is no bonus or reward for meeting said "goals". Managers were present and available for help at all times.

Cons

Every single day and week was the same thing. There is TONS of internal competition, which leads to an unhealthy team mentality. The commission structure is also extremely biased towards upper management. As mentioned above, there is no reward for meeting KPI's over and over again. If anything, the reward comes when you make a placement. You ring a gong (cheesy!!) and then go back to work. You may get an extra $40 or so on your pay check but that's it. If you do not care about diversity this my be the place for you! The entire leadership board is ran by old, white men. Additionally, they have an outdated sales tactic where cold calls take priority. You have to have an extremely thick skin to be rejected over and over again, all day (100 cold calls/day is the MINIMUM). They try to target huge companies who have no idea who the Intersect Group is. On the recruiter side, your job is essentially to get people's hopes up then let them down when the client does not want to interview them. Even with a robust pipeline of quality candidates, I was constantly telling amazing people that 1. I did not have a requisition that applied to their experience or 2. that the client is pursuing other candidates (with little to no feedback as to why). If you can, I recommend applying to internal recruiting positions where there is less competition and hiring manager feedback is easily accessible. Also, it is a FULLY in person role when you could easily do the same exact work at home.
