Pros

JAX is a non for-profit organization and at times this can be fun, although management are not shy to use this to keep the run of the mill people's salary capped. The work you will doing will assist cutting edge science. Benefits are ok to good

Cons

For a non-profit, the leading managers have very high salaries and or bonuses, which have the feel of taking advantage of the lower levels of workers. They tend to pull we are "all one organization", working for a good cause to keep wages and complaints down while having a separate elite class. The organization is obsessively secretive, again except for the small elite class.

Pros

Good pay and great benefits. Very good paid time off. Wide variety of opportunities. Meaningful mission. Many employee recognition events.

Cons

Unpleasant working conditions in many areas. Most areas require excessive ppe. Middle management employees are often unfair in supervision of subordinates.
