Pros

It was a job that paid money.

Cons

Treated like a machine. If you like killing many animals on a daily basis, this job is for you!

Pros

The Bar Harbor area is quite lovely and the community is great most of the time depending on the time of year. Being a tourist area, there are many great restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities (during that portion of the year when these are open). If you love outdoor activities and family life this could be the right spot. The caliber of the staff is great, and management is very good.

Cons

In the summer the area is overrun with tourists; in the winter everything is shut down. Housing is very expensive. If you are looking for a premiere research campus, look elsewhere. The lab has mouse production facilities on campus so sometimes it smells awful, and there are related noise and traffic issues. It is hard to travel from Bar Harbor to meetings outside the area (plane transportation is poor). Collaboration is also difficult due to the lack of biotech companies in the area.

Pros

Great coworkers in In Vivo. Excellent experience for young tech's out of college.

Cons

Managment keeps saying that things will change for the better, however, it usually changes for the worst. No follow up to any issues that the eployees have. Promises are not kept by upper managment. "Lab operational supervisors" hide out all day in an office with out supervising anything. NO upward mobilty.
