Good Company Trying to Become Great

Pros

Management is friendly with all employees and treats everyone with respect and courtesy. Company is willing to give responsibility to those willing to take it. This leads to rapid potential advancement for anyone with the proper motivation. Pay is relatively high for unionized and average for staff.

Cons

Lack of experienced personnel to provide knowledge base and advice. General lack of personnel also causes problems with manpower and therefore stressful situations for all involved. Poor implementation of industry practices. Vaguely defined corporate goals which do not provide a sense of unity to employees.

pay is above average,coworkers are pleasant, my supervisor is great to work for benefits are above average,but better than some others i know about,management do try get in touch with the hourly work force,about different issues. Safety is a priority over profit.

Cons

we are in the south and that good ole boy network is still hanging around, some things are better left alone.
