      - Readily assign independent instruction which is a great resume builder - Good student evaluations are rewarded - Pay starts very low, but then raised a bit every year until a level higher than average other departments.

      Cons

      - Geared more toward teaching and less research - Offices stink!!! - Management is not interested in hearing from employees at all

      Pros

      Graduate schools are becoming among the nation's best for public institutions. Quality of faculty is continually improving and the school is well run. Stipends are generous when considering the relatively low cost of living in Columbus.

      Cons

      Certain graduate labs are located on West Campus, away from the action of main campus. This detracts somewhat from the quality of social life while a graduate student and can complicate attendance of lectures on main campus. Parking is a nightmare on main campus.
