Pros

Good benefits. Great work /life balance. Football tickets.

Cons

Over worked. Under paid. Require a masters but only start you out at 33K a year. Little opportunities for advancement. A lot of politics. OSU is all about the money.

Pros

Strong brand and probably is not going to be closing any time soon.

Cons

Parking is horrbile. Complacency galore. Everyone knows what everyone else makes and that is the gossip for 9 months out of the year. Overpaid Administrators. Not enough focus on paying staff a living wage. Danlge the "benefits" over your head. OK, Decent medical benefits and that;s about it.

Awful place to work if you aren't in the right field.

Pros

Health insurance, sick time and holidays.

Cons

If you work in a science field and do not have a PhD you are treated like a second class citizen. Favoritism, nepotism and abuse ran rampant in the department where I worked and the supervisor was a massively dishonest sycophant who would throw any of us staff members under the bus to kiss up to the dept chair. Active discrimination by supervisor on annual reviews directed toward me while other staff members did far less work and falsified their time cards since there was not an actual time clock. No advancement opportunities and no professional development in the department. Abysmal place to work with supervisor retaliation for taking time off during semester.
