Pros

What an incredible team! I've worked with lots of other organizations like this and this group really walks the talk. I really appreciate what they've done to prioritize their staff, and to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion. I feel really proud of the work we do and I feel so lucky to work with this incredible team of people.

Cons

A lot of the opportunities are short term, but that is often the nature of campaign work.

Good Pay for a Good Cause

Pros

You can get paid (well) to better your community and even squeeze in a little exercise. Lots of good energy from all involved. Many bonus and growth opportunities. The interview is pretty much a cake walk. Pretty great place for a temporary gig.

Cons

Could greatly benefit from being more organized. Could also use a little more flexibility in scheduling (i.e. having more part-time opportunities)

Unorganized, unsafe, late pay

Pros

20 an hour to start

Cons

After I left the company it took over five weeks of emails and phone calls in order to receive a check which ended up bouncing. I finally received payment via PayPal minus the returned check fee and multiple overdraft charges. They sent canvassers to unapproved locations. Employees were chased off, screamed at, and physically threatened. Directors in charge of assigning turf never scouted the locations first or asked permission. Directors and team leaders were frequently late or absent from meetings. We were told to canvass stealthily in parking lots with a clip board approaching people as they exit the store or enter their cars which made it impossible to practice social distancing during a pandemic
