Pros

I’ve been working for TOT Seattle since Nov 2018 and moved quickly into a leadership role. The perks of the job; putting your energy into making a difference in the world, great bonus opportunities, quick leadership advancement, supportive management and in-depth training. Door to door canvassing is hard and emotionally challenging work but it’s a unique position to be in and can spark inspiration to the community. It’s an opportunity for personal and professional growth that will make communication strong for pressing issues that need attention.

Cons

The focus on quota can be stressful but there is a lot of supportive training offered to get over the block of not meeting quota. Canvassing might not be for everyone but it’s all about where you focus your energy on when it comes to positive and negative experiences.

Pros

It's very obvious that The Outreach Team has invested and is dedicated to developing future leaders and experts in grassroots campaigning. A very young company that has brilliantly put together an organization in which many campaigns, from policy driven to voter outreach, will benefit from. Everything is done with quality over quantity. The Outreach Team is committed to paying its employees a living wage. Fast track to leadership and amazing opportunities. Hard work does not go unnoticed.

Cons

As you develop and grow as a leader, expect growing pains. Not really a "Con" though.

Pros

I have worked for over 10 different canvassing operations across the country for various non profits, political campaigns, and single issue ballot initiatives. I have managed campaigns and canvassing offices and I can honestly say this company is more efficient, effective, adaptable, and driven than any I've seen before. They offer substantive career advancement opportunities, not least of which is the chance to work for the most progressive humanitarian non profits in the world. They also pay better than any canvassing firm in the country and thats a fact.

Cons

Door to door fundraising is not for everyone, its physically and mentally demanding, but if you have some hustle in you and are driven by progressive issues and a desire for a fast and fun work environment this company is a great place to start.
