Pros

Can pretty much make your own hours. Nice coworkers.

Cons

No investment in trainers continued education, this is more of a sales job than a Personal Trainer job. Pressure from Regional Management to get refferals and getting inactive clients to become active clients. The company doesn't invest in its self, each studio is left to its on for studio upkeep. If another trainer refers a client into the studio for their "Free" introduction session and you are the one who trains the client and gets the client to purchase a package of workouts you the trainer gets nothing for the referral but the trainer who referred them in get the referral bonus. Upper management pretends to actually care about your ideas and needs, however keep your ideas to your self because upper management will take your ideas and implement them and you will get no credit. If you are a Personal Trainer and looking to train clients and actually help them achieve their fitness goals this is not the place for you. Also 90% of the trainers that work at The Perfect Workout are NOT national certified Personal Trainers, they are certified to teach only The Perfect Workout "Slow Motion Strength Training". The company also holds trainers responsible for client weight loss to be able to get their bonuses however the company has the client sign a client agreement that the company takes no responsibility for client weight loss. So the company keeps its money weither the client losses weight or not. However the trainers gets no bonus unless they produce a 10lbs weight loss. Also, most all studios are located in old abandoned locations or old malls that have little to no foot traffic keeping rent for the studios low. The company doesn't invest in its studios or trainers. Also, their are no real opportunities of advancement with this company. The most one could be is a Facility Manager (studio manager) and that position is just a glorified trainer. 90% of the clients are senior citizens.

We appreciate your feedback and we apologize you had a negative experience working for The Perfect Workout. We strive to create several opportunities for our employees to grow professionally and personally, including promotion and career advancement opportunities. We are always looking for ways to improve, which is why one of our company core values is Kaizen, the philosophy of continuous improvement. Furthermore, selling our services is an important aspect for us to successfully complete our mission, Revolutionize the Way People Exercise. We provide you with substantial sale tactics and training for you to become a successful personal trainer during certification. You’re right that most of our personal trainers don’t hold a national certification since we don’t require it. As you mentioned, we certify our personal trainers in house, so they are a Certified Personal Trainer with The Perfect Workout. This allows us to provide all the tools our personal trainers need to successfully train our clients through our unique slow-motion strength training method.

Thank you for your feedback! We find that our compensation is very fair compared to other entry level personal training positions in the country. However, we are always looking for areas to improve to better serve our employees. Therefore, we are currently evaluating our benefits and compensation packages.

Pros

Easy work. Good co-worker. You don't know need to be certified to get the job but the certification you get is only good for their Company

Cons

Low pay. they promise more pay then you actually make. They expect you to work as if this was your career but working for them if your only a personal trainer is no more then just a job.

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your concern, and we apologize if you felt our wage structures were misleading. The average hourly rate in our company is currently $19.17. Since this is the average there are naturally trainers who make less than this and trainers who make more than this. Naturally, it takes some time and effort in order to advance and move up on the pay scale to be closer to that $19.17 average hourly rate. We also offer many bonus incentives including: Staff Referrals, Client Referrals, Professional Development, and Nutrition Coaching opportunities. We strive to create an environment where our employees are motivated by the clients lives they are changing and the personal and professional growth and development they are able to achieve!
