Pros

I worked in the company for 6 years of my life. There were some good things that happened. There was room to grow if you showed the potential to do so. Some of the upper management seemed to really care about you. Hours were flexible along with how many you worked, depending on the need. Had one manager who really cared about their team. They were amazing!

Cons

~Select management didn't seem to care about employees feelings. ~People would leave left and right sometimes all within a week. And no one seemed to care that very valuable, dedicated and hard working employees were the ones leaving. ~Employees from lead level all the way to senior management would talk badly about others throughout the ranks. Some conversations that I heard were not acceptable. ~Favorites were treated like gods by senior management. And would get away with a lot. ~Rarely promoted from within. ~If they didn't like you they'll make sure you know and will do anything to try to get either rid of you or make you quit. ~Though company attempted to get departments to work together. Constant bad mouthing was present. ~Some managers would make up stories about other employees to make them seem irresponsible or terrible. ~If you were promised a raise it would take anywhere from a month or longer to happen. At times wouldn't get what you were promised.

Pros

-Family Owned and continuing to expand with more properties being added every year. -The Company is becoming more organized without losing sight of their vision and values. -New focus on expanding culture of Company and focusing on creating diversity with hiring practices. -Unique properties that are fun to work at. -Family that owns Company is very personable and is very kind to employees when they visit. They take the time to get to know you. They even give you hugs and are very sincere. -Company parties and training events are well coordinated and a nice treat for Managers -Health insurance is offered and very good

Cons

-With ACA many hourly employees were no longer given full time hours. -High hourly turn over due to seasonal business at many properties. -Pay below industry standards in many departments for managers and hourly employees. -My direct supervisors were not honest and did not even work full work weeks. -Usage of too many temp staff instead of hiring or giving more hours to part time employees. -Health Insurance is expensive -Personally, asked to work several roles and only got a small compensation for doing multiple jobs. -I was unable to take a vacation longer than five days because nobody could/would help me cover my department. I had to use a lot of vacation time through out the year instead of taking at least a week at a time. When I would return back to work I would usually work several 16 hour days to be caught up.

Cons

Poor management of individuals; few opportunities for promotion-- they let an employee go because she requested a raise after over 2 years of work that was stated in her contract; cheap; dishonest
