Pros

SSG is a big company with lots of resources and many people who are happy to help navigate difficulties. They provide lots of training and some good stipends. When little things go wrong it really does feel like they want to help make it better. Also if you dislike your placement there are lots of options for moving around.

Cons

Because the company is so big some of the lower level field employees may be lost in all the noise. It can be hard to navigate who to go to when help is needed and every little conversation has to be sent through many people in the company. Also as a contracted school employee, school breaks are unpaid. We are given a measly 3 days PTO.
