Overworked and underpaid

Pros

Decent health benefits and PTO. Job security. Remote work. Helpful coworkers.

Cons

Will overwork and load you until you get burnt out. You will ask for backup and assistance but you will never get it because everyone is busy and they will not hire another person to divide the work evenly. The company was expanding but they were not hiring enough staff, and instead had hiring freezes. Pay is literally the bare minimum for Southern California and was not a livable wage. Embarrassing.

Pros

It's very easy work Remote work, great to be at home and able to be flexible

Cons

They actively tell you during hiring how quickly you'll be promoted, but do not follow through when you've met the expectations. The higher-ups treat RC's like they're incapable and replaceable, and the environment is extremely toxic. We were actively told not to ask questions or talk to people in the same role. Overall extremely toxic environment that thinks pitting people against each other and tearing them down will bring results. Was severely underpaying. Shady practices when it comes to hiring on-site professionals.

Pros

Really helpful, encouraging and responsive mentors.

Cons

The district I worked in was problematic. Stepping Stones was supportive and offered to move me to a different placement. But I think agencies are contributing to the problems in schools.
