Pros

i've worked at a lot of NGOs and for-profit companies and the trevor project is by far the best i have ever been at. the people are really smart and hard-working and fun to be around. there are really ambitious goals and it's been inspiring to see how much trevor has grown over the past year. we are answering way more calls and texts from lgbtq+ kids than ever before. it's been a lot of hard work but i can't imagine anywhere i would rather be.

Cons

i love the perks and the holiday party but wish there were more social activities. we have this great office. can we host more internal staff parties here?

Pros

I've never been part of an organization that I was more proud to be associated with. The people here are the best. I love spending time and learning from them. And the new office here in New York is incredible. Also really proud of the all the advocacy Trevor is doing, especially around conversion therapy and speaking out for trans* young people.

Cons

Not many that I can think of. Wish there were more vegan snack options.

Pros

Some good things included the passionate coworkers and the meaningful, impactful work. The organization has its heart in the right place, although I disagreed with some of the methods and procedures.

Cons

There was not enough emotional support of crisis workers to combat the second hand trauma of the job. Burn out was high. Decisions were made high up in the organization without listening to the counselors' direct experience and that was very frustrating.
