Pros

Great opportunity to work for a very stable and always growing company on a wide variety of market sectors and construction types. The company offers great opportunity to young employees. Company has work all over the US and is willing to relocate employees. This is a construction company so expect periods of extended hours, but with that comes periods where you have reduced hours - it all depends on the phases of construction.

Cons

As you climb the ladder company expectations don't align with work/life balance. As you gain greater responsibilities the company expects more devotion to the company. This requires longer hours, travel, and working on personal time. Those who sacrifice their personal lives are recognized and promoted.

Pros

Very competitive benefits for tenured employees. Extremely well capitalized firm. Encourage entrepeneurial thinking and forward thinkers. Diversity across several market sectors provides many opportunities.

Cons

National approach has dimished local presence and focus. Growth of company has displaced "family culture" that spearheaded the growth in the first place. Very profit driven vs. quality/performance/service driven.

Pros

I guess the insurance benefits and the perks from other companies who are trying to get your business. Walsh itself doesn't have much to offer.

Cons

Ego driven work environment. Walsh allows their employees to verbally abuse you and then takes the side of the abuser. I was called every name in the book by one particular employee and got called in to be told to not make him mad so it doesn't happen again.
