Culture Of Fear

Pros

You get free lunch once a week. No drug testing. The men are allowed to start drinking alcohol midday. The women are not. The lower level staff is great to work with.

Cons

The management facilitates a culture of fear down to the lower employees. People are terrified that they will lose their jobs at a moment notice here as the full time employees are treated as temp workers and as if they are completely dispensable. Not a good place to build a career if you have children to support or a lifestyle to maintain as any moment they will rip the rug out from under you without warning to set an example for everyone else as I have seen happen many times on my team. It is also a privately owned company where the owners are cutting our compensation to pay for their increasingly lavish lifestyle.

Pros

Possibility to make good money if you can navigate the crazy birds

Cons

Too many meetings. They want you on the phone to "earn" but they like hearing themselves talk in meeting too much. Hide if you come in and see one of them surrounded by beer bottles from an all night bender. Be prepared to be ignored if your production drops a little. Too much kissing of the backside of the birds.

Good Pay, but morally corrupt company

Pros

The pay is good and thats all.

Cons

The management has deep issues which involve lying to the client, management encourages deception and contentious atmosphere. This company is known among IA's as being deceptive, the really great IA's know this and stay away from the best irs. Corruption is rampant and it goes up to the top. You could work for this company for short term assignments but long term you may have issues with their behavior. Honestly I would not even suggest the company to someone that I don't like.
