Pros

Work is incredibly easy if you can stomach being a glorified secretary/call center rep. You literally sit at a desk and cold call people off LinkedIn, which is an easy way to collect a check and an easier way to lose any sense of dignity.

Cons

Terrible hours, mediocre pay/benefits, big company with a startup structure and not in a good way. Very lean corporate structure, there’s really only one job to be done (scheduling consultations for end clients), so there’s not really a ladder to climb. On the plus side, this means that once people achieve project management status they basically just send emails all day, which is relatively easy. Hours are awful, 9-6 to start moving up and you’re expected to be on call until midnight with a 10 minute response time after your first promotion. In a macro sense, these are “knowledge brokers” without proprietary rights to the information they peddle. A third tier middleman company with a mindset to boot. They also pay less than direct competitors as evident from LinkedIn. I actively warn my friends who ask about opportunities away from this company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we take all feedback seriously. We are always looking at how we can improve on how we 'sell the role' in our recruitment process as well as the career progression opportunities we offer. We also regularly review our compensation and benefit offerings to ensure they are market competitive. If you have suggestions for how we can improve on these areas, please reach out to People Operations or provide feedback through the employee surveys.

Pros

- People:the colleagues you work with are all young and funny people to be around. Very social!

Cons

- The job: essentially mis-sold. In the interview process there is a focus on value chain analysis and one of the skill sets they hire for is logical/analytical. You will not be using these skills AT ALL. Instead a LinkedIn sweep and cold emails/cold calls. I have heard people been told that they are “too analytical” or that being analytical has held them back. - Management/incentives: management is disconnected from the workforce. Example: the new incentive structure - you are not recognised by the money you bring into the firm but the amount of consultations you book. These are similar but not the same, management has no response to this atm. Office: Zetland House (connections) is like a prison. Work constantly going on overhead, there no running water for a period of time and the lack of natural light is upsetting. No progression after you’re promoted unless you want to be a team leader.

Hi - Thank you for your review. We appreciate your constructive feedback and suggestions. We continue to work on how we 'sell' the role in our recruitment process and have recently revamped our interview process. Regarding progression opportunities, we continue to map out our career paths. I would recommend speaking with your manager to see how we can help challenge you. Do not forget we also have the Personal Development Allowance which gives you opportunities to develop and learn a new skill. If you have further feedback or questions, please reach out to a member of the People Operations team.
