Pros

If you know what skills you want to develop in the role, the company will easily accommodate.

Cons

Lots of pressure to cut costs - natural given the PE investment in the company. The pressure was very obvious to all employees and created quite negative sentiment.

Pros

Great people, great benefits, personal feel, great training opportunities

Cons

Departments can feel very seperate despite collaborative work processes, and slightly rigid process of job progression/review/salary increases only happening in february of each year

Pros

Young, vibrant colleagues who make the work bearable

Cons

Poor management by team leaders, will spring 1:1s with you at no notice If you do not fall into their arbitrarily assigned performance standards you can quickly fall behind and be expected to figure out how to catch up on your own with little support. Pay is not great for the expectation to work 10 hr days (8a - 7p). Performance Improvement Plans are unreasonable and do not provide actionable support to employees in need of support, they'll be left hung out to dry until they can terminate them. Project managers and Team Leaders show favoritism towards high performers and there is a big, hush-hush culture around any need for improvement among team members or new developments coming along. A lot of the work is dependent on client demands which are not taken into account when evaluating performance like when there are slow weeks/months.
