Pros

CEO was approachable and seemed to take an interest. Had good conversations with him on numerous occasions, both casual and about work. VP also reflected the CEO’s good nature. The Senior Associate buddy system can be helpful and offers a basic level of support.

Cons

Incompetent managers who are happy to take the credit for your work but will not hesitate to betray you. This was something that numerous Associates from my cohort would speak about. On many occasions, managers that I have worked with on various projects were patronising, lacked manners and would set unrealistic expectations. Cliquey environment where groups of managers and employees would back up and support themselves, making everyone else feel like outsiders. Monotonous, mundane and repetitive work - especially at the Associate level. Plenty of cold calling to make you feel like your work is meaningless. This should be made clear to people during the hiring process as the reality of the job is a stark and disappointing contrast to the advertisement. The compensation package was not enough to balance out the impact of tiresome work and toxic managers. Due to the nature of the work, you could very well be ‘working’ at times outside of your regular hours. I have personally had to take calls and communications very early in the morning and late into the evening, stretching into the nighttime. This perhaps wouldn’t be a massive issue if there was compensation available for it and also if there was some appreciation shown by management for your efforts.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and honest review. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with us was not what you had hoped for, and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. It’s encouraging to hear that you found the CEO approachable and that you had positive interactions with him. We’re also glad that you saw value in our buddy system and felt support through it. That said, the concerns you’ve raised, particularly regarding management behaviour, team culture, the nature of the work, and work-life balance are deeply concerning and not in line with the kind of environment we strive to create. Feedback like this is critical for us to reflect on where we may have fallen short and how we can do better. Regarding management here at Third Bridge, we are committed to developing leaders who have the experience and skills necessary to support our teams effectively. We take your points about unrealistic expectations, communication styles, and development opportunities seriously. We’re always reviewing how we develop, train, and support our managers to ensure that leadership at all levels reflects the values of fairness, respect, and transparency. We also recognise the importance of clear communication about the nature of the work involved, so that new team members have realistic and informed expectations from day one. Additionally, we understand how important it is to feel supported, appreciated, and part of a cohesive team. We value your honesty in sharing both the good and the difficult aspects of your role. Thank you again for sharing your feedback.

Thank you for your review. It's great to hear that you enjoyed working with us! We appreciate your comment on the additional hours you worked during your time with us. We recognise that we operate in a fast-paced and target-driven environment and that this may mean working longer hours at times. Whilst this is the case, we know that our compensation and benefits offering is competitive and incredibly employee-focused (including compensation and uncapped bonus schemes!). Thank you again for sharing your feedback.
