If senior management notices and recognizes you, and you prove to them that you are a hard worker, there is much room for growth and promotions.

Cons

If you are not supported by senior management, you will never have a chance to advance. There is a tight knit family mentality at the hotel and so if one senior person goes against you, everyone will.

Training in revenue and yield management.

Cons

Being talked down to constantly, Hotel General Manager didn't even know employee's name...in fact, referred to one employee as "the pregnant one", and she wasn't even the one who WAS pregnant. Upper management would throw around threats saying that we were replaceable.
