Pros

Great culture, the best I have experienced yet. People - developing and uplifting people is prioritised over most other things here. The balance between hierarchy and democratization is liberating. You get to work on very diverse projects and products across a wide range of domains in very diverse teams. You get to learn a lot. Absolutely love working here.

Cons

Some unwelcome changes are happening of late which I believe to be forced changes. The way (the method, the process, and the lacunae therein) in which these changes are being pushed through is antithetical to the culture and conventions at Thoughtworks and the values behind them that set us apart in the industry.

Pros

Thoughtworks has a genuinely strong reputation for engineering excellence, and that culture is noticeable in day-to-day work. You get exposure to modern technologies, good coding practices, and talented colleagues who care about quality. The emphasis on learning and knowledge sharing is real, with plenty of opportunities to grow your technical and consulting skills. Projects are often impactful, and there’s a sense that the company is trying to do the “right thing” both technically and socially.

Cons

Internal processes and communication can sometimes feel fragmented, especially across regions or projects. Staffing decisions and project allocations may lack transparency, which can lead to uncertainty between engagements. Compensation can also be less competitive compared to some other tech consultancies or product companies.
