Pros

- snacks in the office - flexible with vacation/personal days - before the pandemic, lunch on Fridays - receiving a work laptop - work from home equipment policy - Caroo packages and Thrilldom classes during the pandemic

Cons

- on projects for too long - hard to roll off projects if you want another direction / change - diversity and inclusion could be way better ie only 11% of professional services are black folks and only 7% are latinx folks - would have loved more money put into the internet benefit during this pandemic/working from home instead of personal development budget (especially since conferences have been virtual) - expectation on some projects to work more than 40 hrs a week - pay could be more comparable to other software developer positions at other companies

Pros

Amazing culture. Kind people. No bad-people allowed policy. It's a company where you can be whoever you are, making it easier to do your job, as you don't need to keep thinking about minor and personal matters. Agility processes are at the core of the company, making people rely more on each other - than leaving all the weight in a specific person - and fast delivering value to clients. Edge technologies and methodologies. You have the 'TW' effect on your resume, which makes you very attractive to the market.

Cons

Very ideology-oriented. Though TW helps lots of people with its' progressive ideologies and culture, it doesn't care much for different ways of thinking. Sometimes it creates lots of tension in a few subjects even deviating a little bit of the professional side of things. Thoughtworks has a salary matrix. with very specific values for each tier. Though it makes the salaries very just and equal - by making it very easy to understand where you need to be to have a particular amount - it can limit the ability of negotiation with employees, when they have other offers from the market. By the way, that's one of the reasons why many folks have been leaving Thoughtworks. Though it is a global company, relocation opportunities are very hard to obtain. It's called Long therm assignment.
