Pros

Being a financial advisor with Thrivent lets you run your own company and still get a lot of benefits a typical full-time job would include. I am also able to express my Christian identity openly and choose my own work-life balance.

Cons

It is a lot of hard work and not for everyone. Sometimes the higher-ups make decisions that are not in everyone's best interest, but this is unusual.

Thrivent has a great training program for new advisors of any age. They provide a large amount of support to be successful and build a practice. The engagement managers that support the advisors help with prospecting and holding events. Thrivent provides numerous educational and giving events through out the year for clients and members to take advantage of - quarterly economic updates, retirement planning, Long Term Care Myths vs Facts Thrivent offers free budget and cash flow coaching sessions to make sure everyone has access to resources to help with managing their income, spending and saving for goals. Diversity is very important to Thrivent through hiring minorities at all levels as well as having an office at the Urban League to be more accessible to everyone in the area.

Cons

I have not come across any cons at this point, almost two years in as an advisor.
