Pros

Their mission is to help Christians be wise with money and live generously. I was skeptical if the company actually lived this out - and they do. I've been here a year and have seen the organization put the member at the center of everything that we do. Other pros: - Some of the nicest people I've worked with - Great benefits (paid volunteer time, great healthcare) - Very stable organization

Cons

- Things seem a bit disjointed at time - Need to work on infrastructure of technology systems - Things do take a while, but mainly because Thrivent is a highly regulated organization - most organizations like that take a bit to get new things done

Pros

Thrivent employees love our members because they own the organization. We don't exist to line the pockets of stockholders, we exist to help our members be wise with money and live generously. This mission is so compelling it drives our daily decisions. Additionally, Thrivent offers a great benefit structure, and flexible working arrangements to support work/life balance.

Cons

Financial services is highly regulated, so it's difficult to develop creative product and process solutions or act in a rapid, nimble manner. People who are looking for a highly unstructured, extremely creative environment might feel stifled by the legal requirements and legacy systems.
