Pros

Great proprietary insurance products (life, disability, long term care, annuities).

Cons

Clients must be Christian to qualify for proprietary insurance products. Very little focus on assets under management. Virtually all their prospecting materials focus on Christians.

Pros

Thrivent is not a "nonprofit" 501c3 it is a "not-for-profit"501c8 .....this allows it to give back to communities

Cons

Although they say you need to be a Christian to be a Thrivent Member.....you do not need to be a Christian to work there. Yeah.......don't drink the Kool-Aid. They preach, "Jesus Loves Joint Field Work" to get you to work with more experienced reps (which you would think they want to help).....this just cuts your commission in half while bettering management's chances to close business for their overrides (they could care less about you). You are a 1099 employee - 100% Commission.......they say, "You eat what you kill".....yep that's correct. If you do not have a big money cushion you will not survive. This company is full of egos and arrogance (it's financial services).......don't get lost in the "Christianity" element.....it' s a smoke screen. Go work for a more reputable company that doesn't make you pay for every little thing (laptop, software, Zoom, Facebook etc.). Run.......Run Fast!!

Pros

Benefit plan for employees is good

Cons

Lacking in change management and communication. Won't stick to a plan or direction long enough to get results before switching to something different. Waited too long to have offices closed from coronavirus. Culture and morale have gone to all time low.
