Pros

Benefits about average and they have retirement plan that not as good as they are trying to portrait it.

Cons

Very conservative, passive aggressive, back-stabbing, "Minnesota Ice". Very politically incorrect, play favorites, low wages, incompetent management, a lot of people are slacking on numerous charity events while others have to pick up their work. Very low career growth opportunities unless you are one of the favorites.

Pros

Thrivent offers excellent company benefits, matching program for donations, and decent work life bslance.

Cons

The fees to be an advisor are very high. The company changes pay plans frequently. Management is an old boys network where favoritism is promoted and encouraged by partners. They openly admit that they give good books of business to their family friends and nothing to others. Local Management needs lessons in leadership.

Pros

Great organization made up of people who believe we can change the world for the better. Opportunities to truly be generous to others baked in to the DNA of the organization, along with a healthy dose of caring when an employee suffers a hardship. The values of the organization are strong and are shared by many employees across the organization.

Cons

Many employees have worked their whole career at Thrivent, and tend to be too comfortable. They are not willing to work at a faster pace, grow their skills, take risk or get out of the way of others who should advance to new opportunities. While the organization has strong values, it's unfortunate that there is a culture where people support you to your face, and then turn around and sabotage your work and your reputation behind your back. Compensation is generally below market.
