I have PTSD from working bere

Pros

Good 401k and pension benefits.

Cons

This is literally the worst place I have ever worked. The people are liars, bullies, and just the worst sort of people you can meet. I shudder when I see someone wearing their T-shirts. I had no support while I worked here. Everyone was just fake and looking to claw over each other to make themselves look good. My manager provided me with no support and not once had my back I literally have nightmares from my years spent here. Please I implore you run away and look elsewhere. If you are honest and hardworking this is not the place for you.

Favoritism runs amok

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Great company overall- very involved in the community, gives millions annually, benefits are good, especially having both 401k & pension that are company funded. Generous PTO & VTO

Cons

The current leadership in IT is very heavily based in favoritism & only promotes those in favor with leadership. It’s very demoralizing for those working hard but not getting noticed or promoted. VPs & Directors claim to value innovation but have a very fixed mindset about their opinions of people. There are people in people leader roles that have no experience and treat their employees poorly- avoiding one on ones, not dealing with conflict & putting unrealistic / unstated expectations on staff.

Micromanagement galore

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

The paychecks don't bounce and some of the people are nice.

Cons

Ever since the move to the product model, micromanagement is the name of the game. You will have multiple bosses. JIRA tickets and status reports are far more important than doing work. You will spend the majority of your day in meetings. You will be asked for updates several times per day even though all status is already captured in stand-ups and tickets. Management will be in working group chats with you and will pick apart your design decisions.
