Pros

It is a fun, startup like atmosphere, yet you can balance life and work. There is never a dull moment.

Cons

TiVo faces a lot of risks as a company with new internet based services, cord cutting, and inability to protect their market in core DVR technologies.

Pros

I didn't know why some of the people here say negative about this company like it is going down, out dated software, top management has no-focus etc. Probably they don't have complete picture of the company business or they got laid-off so out of frustration they are saying something rubbish. Company has progressed so much in past several years. Some of the progresses are given below. 1) TiVo launched Multi-room solution with TiVo Mini and TiVo stream. And it also has both iOS and Andriod Apps to watch shows on your smart phone / tablets. 2) It launched TiVo Roamio which has been called as "Holy grail of set-top-boxes" and got highest positive reviews from end users. 3) TiVo experience is expanded to international markets. Virgin Media in UK launched 1.7 million TiVo boxes in market. ONO also launched thousands of TiVo boxes in Spain. 4) TiVo software now powered with IPTV capability. Com Hem is releasing TiVo boxes with both QAM and IPTV support in Sweden markets. TiVo is targeting many other international markets. 5) They have created a new VP position for innovation and on his direction TiVo prototyped first nPVR service. This is expected to launch soon. 6) TiVo is first DVR which is bringing "true" TV-Everywhere service by providing out of the home watching experience to end users on their phones/tablets with out any additional hardware support. Being part of the company and if you are not aware of these advances then you are a blind person.

Cons

It used to have Bonuses. Now they removed. For that size of the company, the salary paid to CEO is too much.

Pros

Working here is really a pleasant experience . There is a balance of work and life in TiVo. Some of the engineers are really awesome and you can learn a lot from them. The fun activities are really nice. You can bring your family and show the culture of TiVo. The directors and VP are dedicated to take company to further levels. It is no longer a "Just" DVR company. They have added many features to the product and their strategy of providing "TiVo" technology to other cable companies across the world is also working great.

Cons

- Though company is making many changes in their product. Costly subscription is really bothering. I think no body cares to reduce that. And also the physical size of the DVR, they should seriously consider to make it small and cute. - No 401K match.
