So far, So good

Pros

Tides has been through quite the shift. The organization has experienced significant change (see reviews below), and there is refreshed energy and serious focus on anti-racism. The leadership gets it; the board gets it. They really do. There is a renewed energy and a sense of stability. We have a tough balance to hold: promoting social change through services for donors, foundations, nonprofits, while at the same time running a "business." I've never worked at a company with so much diversity and so much kindness and empathy for employees. This is a big shift and I hope it continues.

Cons

The organization is going through some growing pains, trying to figure out the right structures/systems for the work that it does. It's tricky when you're not that big. For an organization of this size, though, its amazing what gets done in a year.

Change for naught

Pros

The organization has a great mission and occupies a unique niche in the social impact field.

Cons

Lots of unfulfilled potential, largely due to many changes in leadership and internal silos. No clear direction on talent management or on making the social justice mission concrete in the world outside of its own doors.
