      Pros

      - offsites - flex time off - open-source software

      Cons

      - copycat mentality, but no wonder when you know the capabilities of the founders and C-lvl people - they laid off 2/5 of the company in 2023. and kept it quiet, until they got outed on Hackernews - after layoffs around 30 people quit to join competitors - there was a constant change in the company and too much work and disorganization because of it - during my time in the company, 2 heads of marketing quit, the dev advocacy lead left for another company, the head of design & head of growth got laid off, and they could not hire a head of product marketing for 2.5 years :/

      Pros

      - open-minded company, you can share your ideas and if it's a good one there's a good chance you get resources to implement it - product is based on OSS software and the company is trying to be a good OSS community member so I was able to do my job without getting negativity from the community (quite the opposite actually) which often happens when a company is trying to make money in the OSS space - the opportunity to build processes and products from scratch - my direct manager and department leader were both amazing people. They were knowledgeable, empathetic, kind, and just amazing human beings. I have a lot to thank them for.

      Pros

      - Most teams under engineering department have good technical knowledge - Culturally diverse, promotes discussions and new thoughts - Management supports taking adequate rest when needed - Working on open source software is good for everyone

      Cons

      - While the products of the company have product market fit, TimescaleDB needs to reach more customers to use on Cloud. I believe the company is taking good steps in the required direction and we will eventually get there. - General startup challenges, but nothing much in cons. It is a good environment to work
