- Lack of diversity across the exec/investor/leadership team - Greedy capitalist "foodies" exploiting working class people (give stock shares to your "customers" and stop skimming credit card transaction fees) - VC/elitist toxic culture... - Not a profitable business model (held up on. a VC valuation pedestal)

Pros

The culture at Toast prior to Covid- 19 was unmatched, teams were extremely close and the work environment was exceptional. Management on my team was fantastic and I never felt lost and was supported on further growth outside of my position.

Cons

The company didn't really have a choice in layoffs but the way it happened was a bit shady and left a bad taste in my mouth.
