      Work/Life Balance is a lie at Toast

      The diversity and culture at Toast is something to be celebrated.

      Cons

      The diversity and culture is a coverup for a joke of a structure. The Onboarding team is a total nightmare and leadership does not care. This is not just sour grapes from a former employee. Top talent is leaving left and right because we were completely overworked and as it turns out very underpaid. They preach work/life balance but they do not believe it at all. The numbers you have to make every month make it impossible to work a regular schedule. Even though leadership was told many times, they just ignored it and acted like it wasn’t an issue and continue to pile on work. It was probably the worst place I’ve worked.

      Thank you for this feedback. This review was tough to read, and I'm sorry this was your experience. Since COVID hit, we have been on a journey of recovery, and part of that was working on our staffing levels across the team. We know through our engagement surveys and feedback our employees share via our All Hands calls that we still have work to do in order to get workloads right and to make sure our teams across CS are set up for success.
