      Leadership Measuring the Wrong Things in the Workplace

      Pros

      Executive leaders are really empathetic and driven. They pay good salaries. Company is still growing and there is a chance to emerge as a profitable company.

      Cons

      Fintech management style is demotivating. There was a lack of empathy and appreciation for employees, and the focus was solely on meeting un-attainable deadlines. Number of lines coded is the only measure of impact. One person calls all shots kind of environment. Verbal abuse is common from the leaders. Few good managers left already and more will follow if practice continues. New joiners avoid Fintech. This style of management is not effective for knowledge workers.

      "Terrible Company That Damages Your Career and Mental Health"

      Pros

      You get a steady salary, but it can feel like being stuck in a routine, with little freedom or respect, as if you're not valued beyond just doing the work."

      Cons

      This has been one of the most disappointing companies I've ever worked for. They hire you full-time, only to lay you off once they've used your skills for their benefit. There's a complete lack of humanity and work-life balance, they pressure you to resign, or they threaten to terminate you. Be wary of their so-called benefits and salary offers; in the end, you’ll be left without a job once you’ve been used

      Pros

      Co-workers in IE and US are very close-knit and are great people to be around.

      Cons

      Changes at the top level of R&D have brought in exectutives that surround themselves with their own yes-people. This group have started killing teams and restructuring others. Any dissenting voices are either shouted down or are "not a team player". Hiring freezes yet increasing workload is causing burnout on all fields while the people in charge write emails & posts with hollow platitudes yet have not listened to anything. Reviews are more difficult, with VPs unilaterally lowering performance grades and promotions are essentially no longer an option for many people.
