      Great product and business model, highly siloed

      Pros

      Product is front and center. Very well positioned to land in their customers' businesses and expand from there.

      Cons

      Highly siloed and roles/leveling not well normalized across departments. In fact, leveling was all over the place. Some departments were generous with title and comp, others were very stingy and provided no clear path to advancement.

Especially as we continue to grow and scale, consistency across departments, locations, and levels will be a priority for the leadership team. I'm not sure when you left Toast, but our newly launched talent experience program provides many details on leveling, career mobility, and growth opportunities. Our hope is that this resource will allow Toasters to confidently explore new areas and own their career paths.
