Pros

As a LAE/LAET you LEARN logistics. The role begins learning the business through a hands-on approach of supporting the account of a larger broker in the office. Through this hands-on learning approach, online modules, in person training classes, and virtual meetings, you are able to master all aspects of the business before you begin to sell. Once you hit week 12, you are cleared to start building your own book of business. There is a lot of opportunity if you choose to take it. If you want to succeed here, and you can, you have to be thick skinned and have great work ethic. It is a job where you cannot get too comfortable and stay on your toes. You are always selling day in and out. Leadership is the best and will help support you in any way you need.

Cons

This job, once you are cleared to sell is 365 24/7. If a customer calls you at 3 am with a freight emergency, it is your responsibility to answer and best support them. The trucking world does not stop, and you may be required to work over holidays, at home, on vacations, but it is a part of the job. In order to make money in logistics you do always have to be working. You are required to work every other Saturday 8-12 when you are in training and then it moves to once a month. If something comes up last minute, it is not difficult to get your shift covered with someone else in the office.

Pros

- Uncapped commission. - Thorough Training program. - Help and collaboration always available through peers and leadership. - Energetic and positive environment. great People. Great Community involvement. - Love this job. Love the challenge, And love the people!

Cons

*This is a con yes, But TQL is still wonderful and well worth the investment in yourself and TQL. * Answer: Commission Bucket. This is hands down the most complained about ruling as a broker for TQL. We work so hard for commission, there's no reason why we should miss out on hard earned commission simply because it rolled to the new weeks bucket. If we earned that business, worked for it and got paid accordingly, it should just roll into our next pay to be squashed by another $3 bucket to re-fill all over again. Otherwise, we get kind of the worst end of the stick in comparison to other brokering companies or sales positions who get their commission guaranteed at this specific percentage. With this in mind, it may be beneficial to be taught more on how to fully manipulate/work within these guidelines to maximize compensation.

Pros

Its a good opportunity for one to dip their feet in the sales world. Very team based and supportive, Listen to music all day and take small breaks to play ping pong or chat with coworkers to help break up the day.

Cons

The hours are long and have to work through holidays and weekends but the payout can be great if you do give it your all. A new hires experience would be based on the broker that they are assigned too, some are definitely nicer than others.
