Pros

--I was there about a year ago, and I know that many people have different experiences depending on how their broker treated them during training. Mine was ok most of the time, though sometimes he could be a bit harsh. But I don't go to a job to get more friends. --The training was very intense but highly informative. I learned a lot and I could tell that this company invests a lot in their new hires. I can't say that about every place I've worked -- While I learned that freight brokerage isn't for me, like probably 95% of everyone who has ever worked there, TQL looks awesome on a resume since it's very difficult to land a job there, and the fact that I was there for nearly 6 months has opened doors for me in the transportation field that would not have otherwise been available -- I learned that I'm good at being a logistics coordinator, and with my TQL 1 year non-compete agreement ending in about a month I'm looking forward to what's next

Cons

-- Very stressful job and long hours. Expect to be there 55-60 hours per week for much of your training period. There were a number of times when my brain was almost throbbing by the time they day was done, but like physical workout at the gym I was definitely putting my multitasking and negotiating skills to good use -- Freight brokerage can be a shady industry and it's an extremely difficult service to sell, especially since TQL is not an asset-based logistics company (meaning TQL doesn't have its own truck fleet)

Pros

I love this company. They do everything for me to do well here. They gave me an awesome broker to work with and I learned a ton. Then I went to sales training and I learned the steps. You put in what you are worth. If you are worth nothing- than don't take this job or work. You have to put in hours to make it here but it is worth it. I just "pulled the cord" meaning going on commission. I get to choose what I make not what the company wants me to make or think I am worth it. I keep seeing people posting about work/life balance: I don't understand this at all. You went to school all of these years to make money and work. There are jobs ten times worse and more hours than TQL and you can't choose what you make. They tell you what you are going to make or more likely lay you off eventually.

Cons

Working saturdays in charleston, but you are done by 1200 pm. Not bad at all.

Pros

They will tell you, you can make TONS of money.....oh they lie....dont even bother with this company. Just run away. FAST!

Cons

60-70+ hours, no life outside of work. They will want you to lie to truck drivers just to make more money and all your decisions are based on money and not ethics. If you arent down with the management then you better just forget about getting any of the leftovers when someone quits. Its not a job for career growth, just something to put on a resume. You last more than 12 months, you are doing good.
