      Pros

      I worked as a summer instructor for several years before being promoted into a full time position with the company. If you're looking for a summer job don't kid yourself and assume it will turn into a full time gig right away. -I always felt the management had my back with parent/student clients. -Lesson plans are in your own hands once you've shown you have strong group leadership skills with students. -Awesome camaraderie and group culture. -Dynamic work life, you'll never feel stuck doing the same old thing day in/day out

      Cons

      This job requires a lot of flexibility and positivity. If you're someone who gets upset when your plans need to be adjusted than this job will be difficult for you.

      Pros

      Can be a fun job if you like being outdoors and are interested in primitive/wilderness skills. Very nice community amongst employees

      Cons

      Bad management that is unqualified and very low skill level of primitive skills in employees. A lot of imaginary fantasy type stuff going on that has nothing to do with their brand as a wilderness survival school for youth.

And yes, our Realms program does focus on role play connected to wilderness and survival skills. We have many programs available for campers and adults that focus on a variety of wilderness survival and other skills.
